The club welcomes all people irrespective of ability. Beginner's courses are available for those with little or no experience of archery. If you’re interested in Canterbury Archers having taken a beginner's course at another club, please contact us directly.
The minimum age for juniors that we can accept is 10 years old* and in order to comply with the Child Protection Guidelines all juniors, under 18, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All equipment is provided and should you wish to join the club, then advice on purchasing equipment is freely given. Our courses cost £50 per person and includes 10.5 hours of tuition spread over three Saturdays.
*Young archers will be assessed before they can take part in our beginner's course as to whether they are strong enough to pull back the bow and whether they are able to follow the Archery GB rules.
