Fred Noone Shoot

Just a reminder that this coming Sunday is the Fred Noone Memorial Shoot.

For those who don't know about this annual event Fred was a member of the club who shot the longbow well into his ninties. He was an ex-soldier who took part in the Normandy landings and was awarded the Creux de Guerre.

Format of shoot - club and associate members only may participate. Starts at 10.00 a.m. shooting (any type of bow) 30 yards at small target, then frostbite target and finally imperial target. 90 arrows in total. Nearest score to Fred’s highest ever score is the winner. No one knows the winning score except for Keith and Sheila Pocock so no room for cheating, but bribes might be accepted!

Beginners - this is an ideal event for you to enter, informal, fun and everyone has a chance to win.

Refreshments will be provided.
