Closed until further notice

It is with great regret that the committee has taken the decision to close the club until further notice due to health and safety concerns. The committee is worried about the mud and water around the containers and the entrances to the playing fields. There is every possibility that a club member will slip and sustain serious injury whilst the ground is in its current state.

The school have been advised of our concerns and they have been asked to put measures in place to alleviate the problem.

Unfortunately, this means that the bring and share, awards and fun shoot this Saturday have been postponed.

Thanet Archers have kindly offered to allow our members to use their facilities after 4th January as they are also closed at the moment. For those that want to shoot with Thanet indoors on a Tuesday evening, there are still places at the Ursuline College in Birchington.

Our club also run indoor shooting on Tuesday evenings in the school hall. If you are interested in attending, please follow the normal procedure and email canterburyarchers@gmail.com each week before you attend to book your place.
