Following a committee meeting on Tuesday, I’m very happy to be able to update you about our shooting arrangements. From Saturday 29th May, sessions will be three hours long to enable all longer rounds and distances to be shot, in line with the club’s fixture list. An option for Friday evening shooting is returning and we are also trialling evening sessions on Saturdays and Sundays through the summer programme. You may notice the booking calendar is currently blocked out from that weekend but please be reassured that this is only temporary while the necessary admin/changeover takes place - which can’t happen if someone has already made a request to shoot. It will open up again as soon as possible.
The new timings are:
Friday 16.30 – dusk
Saturday & Sundays 9.30 – 12.30, 13.00 – 16.00, 16.30 – dusk
All guidance, including the club’s Restricted rules and risk assessment for COVID-safe shooting, must still be followed, with social distancing (rule of six outdoors) still applying when off the shooting line Only two archers in agreement or same households can shoot on the same target and spectating, with the exception of a parent/carer with a junior, is also not yet permitted. The committee continues to track AGB and Government guidance and to review our club’s arrangements accordingly.
Please continue to keep a record of your shooting and pay fees by BACS at the end of each month -

A separate email or newsletter containing information about some upcoming club events will follow in the next few days. Please also check out the club website which Alex continues to work hard on updating for us.
Best wishes to you all.
